Support my anti-ableism work with a single vote
I’ve been nominated for a National Diversity Award!
Hello,
Just a quick newsletter this week to say I’ve been nominated as a Disability Role Model at the National Diversity Awards!
I’m really chuffed. And now I need your help. It would mean the world if you could vote for me.
The shortlisted nominees are chosen by an expert judging panel, but they take into account the reasons people give for their votes. So just a few sentences could really make a difference. If you’ve ever benefitted from or enjoyed my writing, campaigning or community organising, please vote if you can.
Voting closes on the 20th.
Separately, I am also really pleased that Every Body Queer, the group my wonderful friend Kim (Queer Love Co) and I run for LGBTQ+ disabled people, has been nominated for a few community awards! We’d love any support you could give.
It’s so lovely to be recognised in this way. With a little luck and your support, I hope to be able to translate these nominations into more opportunities for anti-ableist work and a better world for disabled people.
Thank you!
Lucy
